The idea of building a mosque by Lajna Imaillah at Jamia Ahmadiyya ground, Ilaro was initiated by Maulvi Zikrillah Tayo Ayyuba during a National Ijtema organised by Lajna Imaillah Nigeria. The body took up the challenge, and the foundation of the mosque was laid in December 2006 during Jalsa Salana by the then Amir, Dr. Moshud Aderenle Fashola.

When the ground floor was completed, it became a temporary class for the Tahfeezul Qur’an School (male wing). The mosque was completed and handed over to the Jamia Ahmadiyya Community on the 13th December 2020. The worth of the mosque is forty million naira.
